Library and Reading Room

1. Hours of Opening: the Library normally remains open throughout the year from 1.30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. except on Saturday's, Sunday's and other holidays. Library hours during the vacations are notified at the beginning of each vacation.

2. Issue Hours: (a) General Section: From 3 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. (Monday to Friday) (b) Overnight Books (from Text Books Section) from 7.45 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. (Monday to Friday)

3. Loan Privileges: Every student of the College will be issued an Identity Card and two Reader’s Tickets in case of Pass Course and three in case of Honours. Books will be lent to borrowers only in exchange of these tickets. These tickets are not transferable.

4. Condition of Loan:
   a) Different categories of books are issued for a period ranging from 1 to 14 days.
   b) The overdue charges for books borrowed for 14 days will be 50 paisa per day and for overnight Rs. 2.00 per volume per day.
   c) Books will not be re-issued except in extraordinary cases.
